Community code of conduct

What we expect

• Respect consent, personal boundaries and a person’s decision to disengage.
• Treat people fairly regardless of gender, sexuality, caste, religion, disability, age, ethnicity or background.
• Follow venue, host and safety instructions.
• Protect private information and ask before sharing another person’s image or contact details.
• Drink responsibly where alcohol is present and never pressure someone else to drink.

What is not acceptable

Harassment, unwanted sexual attention, intimidation, stalking, threats, violence, discriminatory conduct, deliberate humiliation, non-consensual recording, property damage, dangerous substance use or retaliation against someone who raises a concern are not acceptable.

Raising a concern

During an experience, contact the identified host or venue team if it is safe to do so. You can also email team@thehappyhour.in or use WhatsApp support. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

How concerns are handled

We may gather relevant information, take immediate safety steps, restrict contact or participation, or end attendance. Outcomes depend on the information available, seriousness, participant safety, contractual terms and applicable law. We do not promise confidentiality where disclosure is necessary for safety or law, but information should be limited to those who need it.

Fair participation

Reporting in good faith should not lead to retaliation. Deliberately false or malicious reports may themselves breach this code. This code does not replace emergency, legal or venue processes.
