Arrival in Paro | Welcome to the Himalayas
our Bhutan story begins with one of the world’s most spectacular airport approaches, surrounded by dramatic Himalayan peaks and the green Paro Valley. ARRIVAL Land at Paro International Airport and meet your local representative on arrival. AFTERNOON Transfer to your hotel, check in and take some time to settle into the slower rhythm of Bhutan. EVENING Step out for an easy walk through Paro town before coming together for your first dinner with the group. MEALS Dinner

Day 2 · Day
Paro Stories & The Road to Thimphu
Paro Stories & The Road to Thimphu Ease into the morning with some of Paro’s most iconic sights before making your way to Bhutan’s charming capital. MORNING Explore the magnificent Rinpung Dzong, followed by the National Museum at Ta Dzong, perched above the valley with beautiful views of Paro. AFTERNOON Set off on a scenic drive to Thimphu, approximately 1.5 hours away. Check in and unwind at the hotel. EVENING Discover Thimphu at your own pace with a stroll around Clock Tower Square, local streets and handicraft markets. MEALS Breakfast & Dinner
Day 3 · Day
A Day in Thimphu
Spend the day discovering a capital where centuries-old traditions sit effortlessly beside contemporary Bhutanese life. MORNING Begin at Buddha Dordenma, the magnificent 169-foot gilded Buddha overlooking the valley. Continue to the Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s fascinating national animal. AFTERNOON Visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most important administrative and monastic landmarks. Later, stop by the Memorial Chorten, built in honour of Bhutan’s Third King. EVENING The evening is yours. Explore local cafés, wander through the markets or indulge in an optional traditional Bhutanese hot-stone bath. MEALS Breakfast & Dinner
Day 4 · Day
Thimphu → Dochula Pass → Punakha
Today, the journey itself becomes part of the experience as you cross mountain passes and descend into the warmer Punakha Valley. MORNING Depart Thimphu and make your way to Dochula Pass, sitting at approximately 3,100 metres. Take in the famous 108 memorial chortens and, on a clear day, sweeping views of the Himalayan range. AFTERNOON Continue towards Punakha and visit the spectacular Punakha Dzong, dramatically positioned where the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers meet. Then walk across Bhutan’s iconic Punakha Suspension Bridge, surrounded by mountains and prayer flags. EVENING Check in and enjoy a relaxed evening in the peaceful riverside surroundings. Day 5 · Day
slow Day in Punakha
No alarms. No packed schedules. Today is about slowing down and enjoying Bhutan without rushing through it. MORNING Start with a leisurely breakfast followed by a gentle walk through Punakha’s rice fields, villages and countryside. AFTERNOON The afternoon is yours. Relax by the river, spend time at the hotel or optionally visit Chimi Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s most unique and culturally significant temples. EVENING Come together for a relaxed group dinner and one last evening in the Punakha Valley. MEALS Breakfast & Dinner
Day 6 · Day
Punakha → Paro | The Tiger’s Nest Experience
The grand finale of the journey: Bhutan’s legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Perched dramatically on a cliff nearly 900 metres above the Paro Valley, this is the experience Bhutan is known for. EARLY MORNING After breakfast, begin the scenic drive back towards Paro via Dochula Pass. On arrival, head towards the starting point of the Tiger’s Nest trail. HIKE Begin the hike to Taktsang Monastery, approximately 4–5 hours round trip depending on pace. Horses or mules may be available for part of the ascent, subject to local availability. AFTERNOON Descend and enjoy lunch near the base while taking in final views of the monastery and surrounding valley. EVENING Return to Paro and celebrate the journey with a special farewell dinner with the group. MEALS Breakfast, Lunch & Farewell Dinner
Day 7 · Departure
One Last Morning in Bhutan
Wake up to your final morning in the Himalayas before it’s time to head home. MORNING Enjoy breakfast, check out and use the remaining time to wander through Paro or pick up a few final souvenirs: prayer flags, local textiles, handicrafts and little reminders of Bhutan. DEPARTURE Private transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight. You leave with more than photographs: mountain roads, monasteries, new friendships and stories from one of the world’s most extraordinary kingdoms. MEALS Breakfast

Practical Notes for Indian Travellers
No visa required — Indian nationals need only a valid passport (or voter ID for short stays) and an entry permit, processed on arrival/in advance by the tour operator. ● Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) applies per person per night for Indian nationals — included in the package cost above. ● Direct flights to Paro operate from Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, and Mumbai (Drukair / Bhutan Airlines). Recommend booking only after trip confirmation. ● Weather in late November: Cold and clear — Bhutan's driest, sunniest window before winter snow sets in at higher passes. Nights can dip close to freezing in Punakha and Thimphu; warm layers essential. ● Group size: 15-20 works well for this route — large enough for good group energy, small enough for comfortable minivans/coaster buses on Bhutan's mountain roads.
What's the group composition like?
While we make every effort to maintain a balanced gender ratio, we cannot guarantee an exact ratio at all times — cancellations and last-minute changes may affect final composition.
Is Tiger's Nest hike compulsory?
It's the highlight of Day 6, but travellers who prefer not to hike can opt to explore Paro town instead — do flag this at the time of booking.
Do I need travel insurance?
While not mandatory for Bhutan entry, we strongly recommend travel insurance given the mountainous terrain and hiking component (Tiger's Nest).
Refunds & cancellations
Refund & cancellation policy
The standard Offline by Happy Hour trips policy applies to this departure.
The advance paid to reserve your spot confirms your place on the trip and covers non-recoverable booking costs. Once your booking is confirmed, the advance is non-refundable under all circumstances.
Cancellation charges may vary from trip to trip depending on the destination and dates and on how many days before departure you notify us in writing. The balance amount (anything paid beyond the non-refundable advance) is refundable as per the slabs below:
- 30 days or more before departure — A percentage on the amount paid (except booking amount) shall be refundable. Kindly check with the operations team for trip specific refund.
In the rare case that Offline by Happy Hour cancels a trip outright, you may choose a full refund of everything you have paid, or transfer the full amount to another departure. If a trip is rescheduled, you may move your booking to the new dates or to another trip of equal value.
For cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control — weather, natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, or similar — refunds are limited to whatever amounts we are able to recover from hotels, transport, and activity partners. No additional compensation is payable.
All cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 15-20 business days. Government taxes already paid (GST / TCS) are non refundable.

By booking or joining any trip organised by Offline by Happy Hour, guests agree to the terms below.
A booking is considered confirmed once the required advance payment has been received. Booking amount in non refundable & non transferable. The remaining balance must be cleared within the communicated payment timeline.
Failure to clear pending payments within communicated timelines may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of the booking amount. In case of delayed or incomplete payment, the booking may be released depending on availability.
Prices are subject to change before confirmation due to fluctuations in taxes, supplier pricing, currency exchange rates, or operational costs. Applicable GST, TCS, or other government taxes will be charged additionally wherever applicable unless mentioned otherwise.
Depending on the destination and itinerary, your experience may include:
- Comfortable hotel accommodation
- Double-sharing stay, unless requested and confirmed otherwise
- Daily breakfast at the hotel
- Airport pickup and drop on the designated arrival and departure schedule shared by the team
- Internal group transfers for activities and sightseeing mentioned in the itinerary
- Curated group experiences and planned activities as mentioned
- Dedicated trip captain and on-ground support throughout the journey

Unless specifically mentioned, the following are not included in the package:
- International or domestic flights
- Train or bus tickets
- Visa fees
- Travel insurance
- Lunches, dinners, beverages, and personal food expenses beyond hotel breakfast
- Shopping and personal purchases
- Private transportation or personal travel outside the planned itinerary
- Room service, laundry, minibar, or hotel incidentals
- Optional activities not mentioned in the itinerary
- Early check-ins or late check-outs
- Expenses arising from delays, rescheduling, weather conditions, or unforeseen situations
Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the destination city unless mentioned otherwise. We recommend booking flights or train tickets only after receiving trip confirmation from our team.
Airport transfers are arranged only for the designated arrival and departure timings shared prior to the trip. Guests arriving earlier or later than the scheduled timings may need to arrange their own transfers to the hotel or meeting point.
For sightseeing and planned experiences, internal transportation will be arranged through traveller buses, mini vans, coaches, or similar group vehicles. Any personal travel outside the itinerary, including shopping visits, nightlife movement, or independent exploration, will be managed individually by guests.
Guests undertaking independent activities or travel outside the planned itinerary do so at their own discretion and responsibility. While we always try our best to assist wherever possible, Offline by Happy Hour will not be responsible for delays, missed connections, airline schedule changes, baggage issues, or disruptions caused by external transportation providers.
Accommodation is generally provided on a double-sharing basis unless mentioned otherwise. Guests may be paired with another guest of the same gender. Room preferences will always be considered wherever operationally possible, though they may not always be guaranteed.
Since these are group experiences, we request guests to be respectful and considerate toward their roommates and fellow guests throughout the journey. Requests for room changes during the trip shall be subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Our trips are carefully curated; however, travel sometimes comes with unexpected changes. Itineraries may occasionally be adjusted due to weather conditions, local circumstances, operational requirements, safety considerations, or factors beyond our control.
In such situations, our team will always aim to provide the best possible alternative while ensuring the overall experience remains smooth and enjoyable. Minor itinerary adjustments shall not be considered grounds for refunds or compensation.
These terms apply to all Offline by Happy Hour trips and are accepted at the time of booking.
